On this page, you will find a set of simple drawings for the cockpit I made.
Please note that there are many aspects here that can be, and perhaps should be, individualized.
I have chosen to make the drawings based on the largest-possible surfaces on my original cockpit which in turn is based on the official rules for F1-cockpits and those dimensions.
However, in my original version of the cockpit, I actually made some elements a bit less wide, giving me the possibility to put some distance between the wooden sheets giving it A) a nicer look and B) less risk of "squeeking" when driving.
As base material I used somehting which in Sweden is named "Construction Board Premium", but any OSB or Plywood material is most likely suitable.
To join the sheets, I used classic bolts and wing nuts on the outside. Worked perfectly and has made it possible for me to take it apart in about 5-10 minutes if needed. So, drilled holes in the side sheets and then some type of wood/metal solution is needed in the corresponding top/front/bottom sheets to make them fit together. You will find some "real life" photos of my solution (not very nice looking, but anyhow...).
